About OriginOrigin Publishing is currently the largest publisher of Limited Edition Fine Art Prints in Australia, publishing and marketing the works of over 20 artists and producing edition prints for many other artists.
Origin has been in operation since 1989. Initially set up to provide a printing service for high quality Limited Edition Fine Art reproductions, Origin led the way in the Australian print market by purchasing the first Giclee Print Maker – a machine that is still producing the highest quality prints.
The Giclee process including the Print Maker, computer hardware and software specifically designed for colour correction and an exceptionally high-resolution digital camera enables Origin to provide outstanding quality prints - all in-house.
The Origin product is acknowledged by the artists that we deal with as being the best available. Many are also keen to see their fine art works become part of the Origin Collection, which gives us the opportunity to choose from the very best artists whose works we think fit the range of prints that we publish.
Origin now has five printing machines linked to a network of four computers, a camera with the Kigamo Scan Back, a machine for the coating of canvas prints and, as the largest client of Arches Watercolour stock in Australia, Origin Publishing is able to provide all artists with the ability to edition their quality artwork on archival stock without the expense of the usual large run offset process.
The Origin edition range of artists are available Australia wide through a network of over 600 Galleries and Fine Art Framing outlets.
